National Congress of Black Men Canada (B.C.)
At the National Congress of Black Men Canada (NCBMC), we are committed to strengthening the well-being, leadership capacity, and collective power of Black men across the country. We create spaces where Black boys, men, fathers, professionals, and elders can heal, connect, organize, and build together across generations and life stages. Through mental wellness initiatives, leadership development, economic collaboration, and community advocacy, we work to cultivate strong networks rooted in accountability and shared growth. Because when Black men are healthy and empowered, families thrive, economies strengthen, and communities across Canada become safer and more resilient for everyone.
Our Mission
Our mission is to unite, empower, and invest in Black men by building sustainable networks that strengthen both individual well-being and collective progress. We focus on advancing mental health and emotional resilience, cultivating lasting peer and professional connections, and creating real-time financial and career opportunities. Through intentional leadership pathways, we aim to benefit families, communities, and institutions while ensuring Black male voices are present and influential in equity, justice, and nation-building conversations. We recognize that when individual wellness is supported, collective impact becomes possible — and lasting change can take root.

Our Roots: Brothers Brunch Vancouver
Brothers Brunch Vancouver began in 2021 in response to the isolation and lack of culturally relevant spaces for Black men in British Columbia.
Through intentional gathering, shared meals, guest speakers, and open dialogue, the initiative has grown into a trusted space for authentic connection, leadership development, and collective care.
Its success demonstrates how relationship-first spaces can evolve into scalable, community-driven models. These principles now inform the national vision of the National Congress of Black Men Canada.
Featured by CBC in a mini-documentary highlighting the power of grassroots Black male community-building.
